92/25  OPEN FORUM  2 members of the Parish present.

Resident enquired about the trees on North View. Advised to be discussed on agenda item 16.

Resident raised concerns over the remuneration and associated costs in comparison to the precept to the Parish. Resident wanted to know if getting a fair deal   –  The external auditor details were provided to the resident at the end of the meeting.

94/25   MINUTES

RESOLVED:   Minutes of the meeting held 7th May 2025 were then approved as a true & correct record.

95/25  LOCAL POLICING TEAM

Agreed to forward PC Kelly Edgar dates of Parish Council meetings to attend in the future.

96/25  LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD

A questionnaire created by one of the Playing Fields volunteers was circulated and it was agreed that this would be circulated to the school before the end of the Summer Term. This would also be repeated in the next newsletter so that it covers a wider audience of families who may have grandchildren, or children at other schools in the East Riding.

Business Stream (Water) awaiting replacement invoice following leak allowance claimed.

Giant Disc  – Works agreed to replace turntable, plates & Bolt. – £223.00

Bowls Club – Removal of the existing unit will take place on 26 June 2025. The new unit will be installed on the 4th of July 2025.

Resignation for Councillor Alan Raymond had been received. Vacancy to be advertised.

99/25 Renewables

Dogger Bank D  – Councillors R.Elvidge & J.Tunnicliffe attended the liaison group meeting held on the 23rd of May 2025 . The statutory consultation for Dogger Bank D is now live and  will run until 11.59 on 5 August 2025.Consultation materials including the consultation brochure, maps, feedback forms and the Preliminary Environmental Information Report including the non-technical summary are available to view and download at www.doggerbankd.com  The next meeting of the liaison group is to be held on 5th September 2025.   A grant application is to be applied for.

A Communications meeting will be held on 25th June 2025, to discuss the Newsletter and Website.

Chris Mitchell (Lavender Fields Care Village)Acknowledge Parish Councils feedback and will carefully consider the desire to see a brand-new care home facility. – It was requested that residents had concerns over security and grounds maintenance at the Manor House and asked if this can be conveyed to the owners.

104/25   WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillor Meredith reported: on White Gap Road crossroads junction which had been painted, however the Westoby Lane/Comberdale Hill junction should have been painted instead. Councillor Meredith also reported on East Riding Car Parks, the Environment regeneration Scrutiny committee re Highways. Biowise and the A164 update.

105/25 HIGHWAYS

  1. Temporary prohibition of through Traffic Walkington Road – 19th August 2025 between 09.30-15.30 pm to allow proactive cleaning of sewage pumping station to prevent internal sewage issued and potential pollution event at Bluestone, Walkington Road.

106/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

a    Handyman Schedule and costs approved (omitted from May Minutes).
