Councillor Hayton commenced as chair in Councillor Turners absence.
7.35m pm Councillor Turner joined the meeting and chaired the meeting.

Resident enquired about the entry signs to the village & whether any plants could be planted.
Enquired if pumpkins on the green would take place this year. Advised to contact Village Hall.

RESOLVED: Minutes of the meeting held 3rd September 2025 were then approved as a true & correct record.
148/25 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
Councillors asked for feedback on the abandoned car, Skidby Road. – The clerk will contact the police.
149/25 LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD
Questionnaire – further two responses left in the box at the Post Office. The Play Inspection Report shows that much of the equipment needs repair or replacement due to age. Councillors and Playing Fields Volunteers will seek grants for new equipment.
Business Stream (Water) – Yorkshire Water have approved the Leak allowance but will need to base billing on prior years usage.
Giant Disk – waiting for a part to arrive, then works can commence.
Electricity Meter Display – Chased with supplier, however no engineer available at present who is experienced with three phased supply.
Bowls Club – Insurance for the new Portakabin was discussed as the Bowls Club are keen to ensure new flat root Portakabin is insured fully. The question was also asked if the Parish Council had any objection if the Bowls Club insured their own building. Everything else remains the same. RESOLVED That the Bowls Club insure their own building and contents
Grahams Contractors have been approached and have kindly donated a Defibrillator for the Parish. This is to be installed at the Playing Fields. Dan from Grahams will present this to the Council on 9th October 2025 at 3pm.

Planning Enforcement – No further update. Waiting until end of October for East Riding Enforcement Officer to update the council.

Newsletter /Website – Articles for the next edition of the Beacon Newsletter are required by 26.10.25.
Website – It was agreed that the Parish Council should progress to a .Gov.uk domain name. RESOLVED That the clerk will progress a provider.
Councillor Email addresses will progress once the website domain has changed.
Christmas Lights Switch On – The Black Horse Pub will host Santa after the lights are switched on at 6:30pm. Sweets will be bought for parish children.

| ERYC | Call for Sites (East Riding Local Plan) – It was reported by Councillor Meredith that Little Weighton, Bentley, Rowley & Riplingham had no eligible sites for consideration. |
| Wolds Newton Parish Council | To advise NY/2025/0113/FUL has been published and is open for comments until 31 October. The application is to drill through the chalk water aquifer at Foxholes, close to the boundary with Wold Newton, which supplies water to the whole of East Riding of Yorkshire and beyond. – NOTED |
| Manor House, Little Weighton | Information relating to a Model Care Village Facility – Visit cancelled, waiting for a rescheduled date. Councillors reported that residents are concerned with the site, and the recent boards across the gate. The Clerk will contact Parklane Healthcare for a statement. |

156/25 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor Meredith and Gill reported: ERYC have had their first budget meeting. Stop the stink meeting held re Willerby re Waste Wise.
157/25 HIGHWAYS
- Turning Circle (South Garth) requires resurfacing. Resurfacing requested and logged with ERYC. Councillor T.Gill stated he will chase for an update.
- Railings (Old Village Road) – have been hit by a vehicle causing considerable damage. Clerk reported.
158/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Tree Report – Of three quotes sent, only one was received. RESOLVED – Approved Wold Trees to proceed at £1980.00 net. Start date requested.
Rowley Road/Butts/Station View – The handyperson could not finish the job due to equipment failure. Bentley Gold Services will submit a quote and start work as soon as possible.
