21/26 MINUTES
Minutes of the ordinary meeting held Wednesday 4th January 2026, were then approved as a correct record and signed.
22/26 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
1 crime reported – Theft (no further details provided).
23/26 LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS
Zip Wire – Terra Tech Ltd Contracted for the work. Ground too wet to bring machinery in for the Zip Wire and the replacement bearing for the large Disc equipment.
Yorkshire Water – The clerk updated the council regarding the complaint made in respect of the billing. Further details to be provided to Yorkshire Water as they have not read the file before responding.
Electricity Meter – No further update. Waiting for a 3 phased engineer to be able to repair the meter. This has been ongoing since July 2025.
7.40 pm Councillor S Turner joined the meeting.
Defibrillator (Playing Fields) – Defibrillator now installed, awaiting testing and advising www.thecircuit.uk/defibrillators of its installation and position.
Giant Disc – Waiting for ground to harden before bringing heavy equipment on the field.

Applications:
25/03521/PLB – Creation of a link extension and conversion of existing bar to domestic living accommodation, together with the replacement of windows and doors, and repair works to the building fabric at Riplingham House Farm, Riplingham Road, Riplingham.
RESOLVED – Recommend that this application is approved .

National Grid – To receive community update. Open Consultation events to be held on 24th February 26 (Little Weighton) and 25 February 2026 (Walkington). Councilors will attend and discuss community grants.

29/26 WARD COUNCILLOR REPORT
Councillor Meredith reported on affordable housing review, which was mentioned at Scrutiny, Rowley & Skidby assessed. Anti-Social behaviour will be discussed at Scrutiny as their needs to be an agreement as to who to contact and in respect of the different ASBO’s.
30/26 HIGHWAYS
Potholes were discussed in Bentley Village, Bentley to Walkington Road & West Garth. The clerk will report online.
Comberdale Hill/Westoby Lane junction – works to commence 16th February 2026.
