RESOLVED:   Minutes of the meeting held 8th January 2025 were then approved as a true & correct record.

23/25 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD

Quotation for remedial works present:  Agreed Bentley Gold Service to:

  • Fit & seal UPVC Facias to the upper box section of the pavilion
  • Removal & disposal of bench (Infants play area) and replace with durable plastic bench already acquired.

Equipment for repair  – Further quotations for repairs will be sought.

Councillor Turner discussed an equipment proposal for replacement items on the playing field.

It was agreed that the document would be put into the newsagents, website, noticeboard asking if anyone wishes to be involved.

24/25 PLANNING

25/00111/CLE  – Certificate of Lawfulness for the confirmation of commencement of works including the creation of the access point, construction of gravel access tracks, site compound and building foundation for one of the electrical  buildings and erection of security fencing prior to 6 January 2025 of planning permission 23/00846/STVAR (Variation of Condition 3 (approved plans) of planning permission 21/02335/STPLF – Construction of a 49.9MW Solar Farm, underground cabling, 18 inverter substations, installation of perimeter fencing (up to 2.5m high) with access gates and 176 CCTV cameras/infra-red lighting on steel poles (up to 3.5m high steel poles) and 2 temporary construction compounds; construction of a grid compound consisting of substations, control rooms, transformers, cabling and fencing; construction of a storage compound consisting of 24 battery storage containers, 24 PCS units and 2.5m high perimeter fencing and associated grid infrastructure and associated works to allow for minor design changes to battery layout to reflect a more efficient and optimised design for construction)  at Land South Of Creyke Beck Substation 4875 Park Lane Cottingham East  Riding Of Yorkshire HU16 5SB

25/25  RWE – RENEWABLES

a)  (DBS) Virtual Liaison Meeting held 22nd January 2025. Scheme due to start early 2027. Screening and the substation footprint were also discussed.

b) Orsted (Kingfisher Solar Farm) – A non-statutory public consultation will be held Monday 3rd February and Sunday 9th March 2025.

National Grid’s intention is to hold a series of in-person and virtual events in the coming months, during our upcoming statutory consultation.

31/25   WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillor Gill reported:

Budget Meeting (ERYC) to be held 9th January 2025

Councillor Meredith reported:

Council tax bills will increase by 4.99%.

Devolution deal has been agreed with Hull City Council and East Riding Council. A combined authority Mayor will be elected in May 2025.

Local Plan will be signed off in April 2025.

Cottingham 6th Form will be closing at the end of the year.

32/25 HIGHWAYS

  1. Chalk Path update 3rd Instalment to be paid  REOLVED – To make payment as per Agreement.
  2. Rowley Road (Path erosion). Works are now completed.
  3. Walkington Road- Temporary Road closure will commence 8th April 2025 9.30 – 2.30 pm for the cleaning of sewage pumping station.
