43/24  HIGHWAYS

Chevron signage at entrance to Bentley – Partial works complete.

Give way Signage on Ground at Common Lane/White Gap Crossroads – To report!

Rowley Road Pavement repair  – ERYC are checking this site weekly and last week, there was still a minimum unobstructed 1.2m width of footway to walk past the failing embankment so it is still safe for pedestrians.

There is no date for traffic signals and temporary pedestrian walkway to be placed on site; they will be used if the unobstructed footway width drops below 1m, which is the absolute minimum for pedestrians.

There is currently no schedule of planned works; the Council is presently discussing responsibility with a third party it believes has a legal responsibility for maintaining the embankment.

Speed Bumps (Green Lane, Playing Field Entrance). Works now scheduled for Mid-March.

Speed Issues  – No response from PCSO regarding bringing the Speed Radar Guns into the Village to carry out a survey.

Bentley Speed Limit – Following recent communication with residents & ERYC Traffic Management Team. It was confirmed that Main Street, Bentley is a restricted road due to the system of street lighting. It has a Speed Limit of 30mph, the road will remain “Vehicles prohibited excepts for agricultural vehicles” on the eastern entrance of the village with a no through road sign on the western entrance of the village.

44/24  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Trees bordering Southwold – Issues with Height. ERYC advised the Parish Council to contact Land Registry.

There being no further business, the Parish Council meeting closed at 9.05pm.
