04/26 DECLARATION OF INTEREST   – Councillor Tunnicliffe (Item 4 – Finance)

05/26 MINUTES

Minutes of the ordinary meeting held Wednesday 3rd and the Extra Ordinary meeting held 17th December 2025, were then approved as a correct record and signed.

06/26 LOCAL POLICING TEAM

No police crimes reported for the past month.  The monthly update regarding Dale  has not yet been received.

07/26  LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS

Zip Wire  – Terra Tech Ltd Contracted for the work.

Yorkshire Water – Councillor Tunnicliffe & Councillor Elvidge will assess meter chamber and check Pavilion water too.

Electricity Meter – No further update.  Waiting for a 3 phased engineer to be able to mend the meter. This has been ongoing since July 2025.

7.40 pm Councillor S Turner joined the meeting.

Bowls Club update. A copy of the original 2009 lease between ERYC and Little Weighton Playing Field Association was requested from ERYC. This has now been forwarded to the Bowls Club as requested.

Defibrillator (Playing Fields) – Awaiting Electricians installation date.

Giant Disc – Councillor Tunnicliffe will chase company for installation of the bearing.

Funding – Councillor Armstrong asked if the Playing Fields Volunteers could attend Parish Council meetings bi-monthly to give updates in respect of funding and ideas for the Playing Fields.

08/26 PLANNING

10/26 PLANNING ENFORCEMENT

Field at Grid Reference 497826 433732 White Gap Road – No further activity. RESOLVED Councillors agreed to remove as an agenda item.   If any signs that the building is used as a residential dwelling again, then this must be reported to ERYC Enforcement Officers.

10/26 COMMUNICATIONS

Newsletter – The next edition of the newsletter will be printed for distributed around the first week in March.

Website – Waiting for the .gov.uk website domain name.    Clerk will chase.

12/26 FINANCE & GOVERNANCE

 

·        To note Income received & approve Payments presented RESOLVED That payments present were approved.  Wold Trees invoice to be paid once resubmitted with works already completed.  Remaining works to be invoiced separately once scheduled and completed.

  • To approve Budget Monitoring 01.04.25 to 05.12.2025 RESOLVED – Approved.

13/26 WARD COUNCILLOR REPORT

No ward councillor present.

14/26 HIGHWAYS     

Works to the highway between White Gap Road to Hunsley will commence 13th January 2026.

Road closure – junction between Riplingham Road and Westoby Lane and junction between Beverley Road and Steep Hill to Riplingham Road (finish point) junction between white gap lane and common road and junction between White Gap Lane and Welton Road) commencing 2nd February 2026 between 06:00 hrs and 18:00 Hrs to carry out safely carriageway inlay, haunching and civil works.

15/26 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Tree Works  – Once the Christmas Lights have been removed from The Green, works to be completed by Wold Trees.    Agreed that the lights would be taken down on the 18/01/2026.
