165/25 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
No report available.
Councillor R. Elvidge reported that a vehicle had collided with the concrete signage located at the top of Bentley, resulting in damage to the sign. The police attended the scene of the incident. The clerk was asked to contact East Riding Council and arrange for the signage to be repaired/replaced.
166/25 LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD
Grant Applications – Councillors, clerk and residents met to discuss the Playing Fields with a focus on the equipment in need of replacement. The meeting was productive and an application to the Lottery Fund was submitted.
Play Inspection report – works carried out. Councillor J Tunnicliffe provided an update.
To receive drawings and quotation for replacement zip line. Quotation received from Terra Tech Ltd for a steel construction. £4800 plus VAT. RESOLVED – That Terra Tech Ltd are awarded the contract. Zip Line to be installed and ready for play by Easter 2025.
To discuss ‘Dogs on Playing Field’ – Discussion took place regarding a proposal to prevent dogs on the playing fields. It was agreed to leave and address when a proposed replacement equipment scheme is in place.
- Yorkshire Water – Leak Allowance approved, however further leak in chamber reported.
- Electricity Meter – I display not working (Reported) no further update.
Meter issues have been ongoing since early 2025. Complaints to be raised with EDF & Business Stream.
- Bowls Club update (Buildings and Admin) – a request from a bowls club member for a copy of the playing field lease. RESOLVED that the clerk contacts the club secretary and ask if the request is a decision from the Committee.
- Defibrillator donated by Grahams Contractors, with spare pads. Defib presented by Dan at Grahams. A defib cabinet has been ordered and will be gifted by Grahams also. This is to be erected at Little Weighton Playing Fields.
- Giant Disk – awaiting part.

Planning Enforcement
There are currently no further updates regarding White Gap Road. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) has indicated that they expect compliance with the issued notice by the end of October 2025. Once the deadline has passed, ERYC will revisit the site to assess whether compliance has been achieved. Councillor Meredith will check for any updates at ERYC.

173/25 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor Meredith reported on the start on construction of the parking area at Raywell.
He also stated that ERYC adult social care had an inadequate rating from the CQC and was the worst in the Country.
Bus stops were discussed – was there a need in Little Weighton.
The Pond and Turning Circle were discussed. The clerk will investigate further.
174/25 HIGHWAYS
- Turning Circle (South Garth) resurfacing now complete.
- Riplingham Crossroads – No new scheme has been received. Clerk to check with ERYC.
175/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
The resident was acknowledged and thanked for bringing various issues within the Village to the attention of the relevant parties. The necessary tree work has now been completed in several key areas, including the Playing Field, Station View, and The Butts.
Mr Benson – work will be scheduled as and when required.
Bentley Gold Services were formally thanked for their efforts in undertaking and completing the required works. Feedback from the resident regarding the completed work was also shared.
The gardener has completed one side of the pond towards the middle. The gardener will be approached to ask if will complete the remaining side of the pond.
Wold Trees will be working in the Village on 17/18th November 2025.
