21/22 MINUTES
RESOLVED: The minutes of the meeting held 12th January 2022, were discussed, item 11/22 Village Hall, following further correspondence the hall rate of £30.00 for Parish Council exclusive use had been offered. Council agreed, the minutes were then approved as a true & correct record.
22/22 LOCAL POLICING TEAM – Crime Stats Report (December 21) –– 1 crime reported Potterdale Drive (Criminal Damage and Arson). NOTED.
23/22 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS
Store Cupboard Doors now replaced – works completed.
Playing Fields Hedge – Resident’s correspondence regarding Hedge at the top of the playing field requires cutting. RESOLVED – That the Flail Contractor will be contacted to cut all hedges in the playing field prior to March 2022. A leaflet drop to West Garth residents who back onto the playing field will be delivered within the next few days.
24/22 PLANNING
- 21/04013/PLF – Change of use of agricultural land to additional domestic garden and erection of boundary fence (retrospective) at Little Hunsley Cottage, The Avenue, High Hunsley, HU20 3UR.
RESOLVED – The Parish Council recommend that this application is approved.
DECISION
- 21/04090/PLF – Erection of part two storey and part first floor extension to side at 2 Potterdale Drive, Little Weighton, HU20 3UX – GRANTED (APPROVED)
Planning Enforcement
Following recent Planning Enforcement visits, the following Planning Applications have been received.
22/00143/PLF – Conversion of stable block to dwelling with associated works and erection of a timber storage building (Retrospective Application) at Field (Grid Reference 497826 433732 White Gap Road, Little Weighton.

RESOLVED – That the Parish Council recommend that this application is refused for the following reasons.
The application is outside of the Village Limits.
The application for residential/domestic use is unauthorised as it is on Agricultural land.
Little Weighton is a non-selected settlement for Growth.
At this point, Councillor N.Armstrong left the room.
22/00250/PLF – Conversion and change of use of existing detached garage to form a hair salon (Retrospective Application) at The Barn, 47 White Gap Road, Little Weighton. HU20 3XF.
Application discussed, the salon is within the boundary of the Property, adequate parking.
RESOLVED – To recommend that the application is approved with conditions as follows:
- That the application is limited to the current ownership and then reverts to a domestic garage.
- That the use is for the Hair Salon and not to be used for any other business.
Cllr Armstrong returned to the Room.

Newsletter – Next Edition will be produced for Easter 2022.
Website – New Website progressing, further 4-6 weeks before able to view. The Chair asked for a map of the parish to be included on the website.
Drainage Easement –Discussed with Solicitor further costs sought for paperwork to be drawn up.
Queens Jubilee – Open Meeting arranged for Wednesday 9th February 2022 for all interested parties.

| NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH | Neighbourhood Watch event to be held in March 2022. Focus for 2022 will be Telephone, Doorstep and Romance Scams. Two places for Wednesday 30th March 2022 5.00-8.00pm at Cottingham have been reserved. The clerk will attend. |

RESOLVED – That the payments presented are approved
29/22 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT – Councillor Meredith asked if the Rowley Road AFC Road Race had caused any issues for village residents. No issues reported. Jocks Lodge developments were discussed, stating it will be a £63m single piece of infrastructure in the whole of the East Riding.
Residents in the East Riding have all been issued with passes to the Waste Recycling Centres. This will also be promoted in the next newsletter.
Councillor Gill reported on ERYC Parking Charges which will be reviewed in Market Towns. Discussion also on trees that have blocked the highways as to whose responsibility it is.
30/22 HIGHWAYS
- Chalk Path – The ERYC Technical specification has been sent to five businesses asking for quotations by 21st February 2022.
- Reflective posts damaged/missing – Posts Rowley Cottage, Rowley Manor entrance damaged post will be replaced in the next Financial Year as confirmed by ERYC. Skidby Road posts will not be replaced however will be ‘removed’ as and when they become damaged. NOTED.
- Report of parked cars near the New Village Road Entrance causing concern also around times the Children are waiting or heading for the School Bus Stop.
31/22 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Updates on the following:
- Trees for Planting – No response from ERYC at present, the Clerk will seek further guidance/approval for the Playing Fields.
