04/24 MINUTES

RESOLVED:   Minutes of the meeting held 4th December 2023, were then approved as a true & correct record.

05/24 LOCAL POLICING TEAM

Monthly Report received & noted for Dale Ward & Beverley Rural.

06/24 PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY

RESOLVED – Peter Hayton was welcomed and joined the Parish Council.

07/24  LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS

Equipment – The Toddler Springer ‘Frog’ has now been installed by Streetscape. A quotation has been requested for replacement Cradles & Chains.

Noticeboard to Playing Field Entrance  – Near completion.

Electrical Inspection has been carried out at the Bowls Club and The Changing Rooms.

08/24  PLANNING

  1. 23/03527/PLF – Installation of a wind turbine (up to 87m high to tip, up to 60m high to hub, up to 5m blade diameter) with alterations to existing access and hardstanding and associated works following removal of existing 60.5m high wind turbine at Wind Turbine North West of Braffords Farm, Riplingham Road, Raywell  (Skidby Parish Council Area).

RESOLVED – That Rowley Parish Council object to the Turbine.

  • RWE RENEWABLES – No update.
  • PLANNING ENFORCEMENT  – Hedge on The Butts to be discussed further with the Enforcement Officer.

Stoneledge Plant & Transport  – No issues reported.

Ashcourt Group Ltd – No issued reported

13/24  WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

No Ward Councillors present.

14/24  HIGHWAYS

Chevron signage at entrance to Bentley – Clerk to follow up with ERYC

Broken post & Chains (Green) to front of property on Walkington Road/Skidby Road Junction. Clerk to follow up again.

Rowley Road Pavement repair  – Additional barriers are in place along Rowley Road as deteriorating further. ERYC are seeking land ownership to the field below the Footpath.

Speed Bumps (Green Lane, Playing Field Entrance). Works to take place mid January for remedial works and it is anticipated that ERYC will programme replacements in for 2024 programme, although budgets are stretched at present.

15/24  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Grit Bin  – This has now been delivered, and bags of salt. RESOLVED  Location: Walkington Road for use with Potterdale Drive.

TREES – Station View/The Butts. – Still waiting for date works will be scheduled. Clerk will ask again.

Clerk liaised with Humber Forest (ERYC Officer) regarding tree planting. Agreed by Councillors to invite her to attend a future meeting.

ALLOTMENTS – Large plot at top of Skidby Road is looking untidy. Council to review.

HEDGES – RESOLVED – That the hedges to the playing perimeter will be cut and the allotments. Allotment tenants to be notified.

There being no further business, the Parish Council meeting closed at 8.05.
