RESOLVED: Minutes of the meeting held 6th November 2024 were then approved as a true & correct record.
169/24 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
No crimes reported within the Parish.
Accidents continue to occur at Riplingham Crossroads. Reported to ERYC Highways Department.
No Cold Call Zone was discussed, as Little Weighton has areas identified where there should not be anyone cold calling at doors.
170/24 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD
Playing Field Inspection report reviewed by Councillors S.Turner, P.Hayton & N. Armstrong. A list of items was discussed, costs are to be identified and bought back to the next meeting of the Council.
Councillors Turner had met with Grahams Contractors, and they had advised they could fill areas around play equipment with topsoil and roll it. It was agreed that neighbouring parishes with good play equipment areas would be viewed and photos shared. A list of potential play equipment should then be drawn up for further discussion.
Quotations for works/repairs on existing play equipment to be sought and bought to a future meeting of the Council.

175/24 COMMUNICATIONS
- Newsletter – Distributed Nov 24. Future editions may be distributed to shop, garage, Hotel, public house. Residents can collect from there. There will be deliveries to the outlying areas of the parish.
- Christmas Light Switch on – will be held on the 6th of December 6.00pm for 6.30pm.
The Black Horse will host Santa and greet the Children following the light switch on.
- Resignation of Councillor Kevin Brown – Due to health reasons, Councillor Brown has made the difficult decision to resign. Chair and Councillors thanked Kevin for all his work over the years on the Parish Council. Letter to be sent.

- Training – Councillor Turner attended Finance Training 14.11.24. Councillor Turner reaffirmed that the Council were adhering to procedures. Reserves and Interest rates were also discussed.

179/24 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor Meredith reported:
Planning Draft Design code, Neighbour hood plans, and scrutiny topics regarding highways issues, and grounds maintenance at junctions.

180/24 HIGHWAYS
a. Chalk Path update – Invoice now received, 1st Instalment to be paid December 24. Agreed.
b. To receive update from ERYC on Eroded Pavement (Rowley Road) – Temporary Road closure commencing 6th December 2024 to allow for carriageway repairs to be completed.
c. The number of accidents occurring at Riplingham Crossroads, continue to be report to the ERYC Highways team.
181/24 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
- Ash Die back (Lilac Grove Trees) & North View – Quotation received. It was agreed that a further quotation would be obtained for works to North View. Ash Die back would be monitored.
- Bentley Pond – Councillors met with Grahams Contractors regarding dredging Bentley Pond. Works anticipated to be carried out late February/Early March.
