Councillor R.Elvidge declared a pecuniary Interest in Agenda Item 8.1 (RWE) renewables. It was agreed that the agenda item would be renamed ‘Renewables’ as there are other schemes in our area.

127/24   WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillor Gill & Councillor Meredith reported on:

Areas where flooding occurs – Tree leaves are covering drains & should be kept clear.

Grit bins will be refilled.

New Government proposal regarding planning – Changes may occur in the next 15 years.

128/24 HIGHWAYS

a. Chalk Path update (Compliments, Signage, Horses & Compacting response)  – Horse riders should not be using the trod  – breaking the law according to the Highway Code and the Highways Act 1835.

b. To receive update from ERYC on Eroded Pavement (Rowley Road)

Vegetation has been cut back on the embankment. Further investigatory work will take place.

129/24 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

  1. Ash Die back (Lilac Grove Trees) To be monitored.
  2. Playing Fields Boundary Fence/residents Hedge update & Bowls Club Correspondence –  Residents correspondence noted.
  3. Tree Concern – The Green, North View (liaise with resident over pruning, & ERYC should any further works be required.
  4. Allotment  –  (Resident Request) Agreed to let remaining allotment.
