53/25 OPEN FORUM – 3 members of the Parish present.
Residents attended advising that funds are being raised for the playing fields as they want to see the zip wire replaced. They wanted to ensure that funds could be ringfenced.
A Resident attending asking about Northview and the trees that required pruning.

RESOLVED: Minutes of the meeting held 5th March 2025 were then approved as a true & correct record.

Newsletter for Beverley Rural & Dale Ward received.
57/25 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD
Councillors met at the playing fields to discuss works to be carried out. The following list of works were approved:
- Big Disc – Bearings need replacing.
- Small Goals – replace/tighten loose fittings.
- Large Goals – replace/tighten loose fittings.
- Repaint Pavilion Doors
Playing Fields Water Meter – Leak in the meter chamber reported to Yorkshire Water. Estimated date for repair is 18th April 2025.
A parent in the village will look at preparing a questionnaire for the children at the school to complete. This will be to determine what equipment the children at the school would like to see at the park. Parents have also fundraised to a value of £157.00 to date.

- Dogger Bank D – Meeting held 14th March 2025 at Woodmansey Parish Hall. Councillors A.Woodall, S.Turner & J.Tunnicliffe attended. Minutes will be circulated once received. They highlighted education links with Schools & Funding of £1000 is available. The Clerk will apply.
- Northern Powergrid ‘North Humber to High Marnham’ – Statutory Consultation commenced 18th February 2025 to 15 April 2025. A response had been received from Northern Powergrid regarding a proposed Storage Compound. Their proposals include a construction compound further to the northeast of Little Weighton, next to the proposed new Birkhill Wood Substation in Cottingham. Further southwest, their proposals include a construction compound near Brantingham. Based on this, there is currently no planned construction compound in Little Weighton.
- Pear Tree Hill Solar Farm project update – Circulated.
- Dogger Bank South Newsletter received. – NOTED

61/25 COMMUNICATIONS
- Newsletter – The next edition is waiting to be printed and delivered. This will be the last edition distributed to houses unless a high demand response is received. Future editions will be left at various venues in the Parish.
Fundraising – Funds received from the Black Horse totalled £504.00 which will be earmarked 50% for Christmas Lights, and 50% for the Playing Fields.
- VE Day 80th – Grants available for events held for the VE Day 80th. Beacon will be lit at High Hunsley on 8th May 2025 at 9.30pm.

- Model Financial Standing Orders update announced. The changes are to Model Financial Regulations 5.4, 5.7 and 5.11.
| Chair Lavender Fields Care Village ltd | Manor House Residential Home closed its doors on The building is not listed, and is in an area of high landscape value, councillors would not like to see this building demolished. Councillors resolved that they would like to see the building rebuilt as a residential care home. |
| The Local Government Boundary Commission for England | Draft recommendation of Ward Boundaries – Consultation will close 12 May 2025 Not advantageous in changing the wards, Rowley would come under Beverley Rural – This is a wider area for Ward Councillors to attend too which may mean they have insufficient time to get round all Parish Council meetings. |

65/25 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor Meredith reported:
Biowise meeting, reporting that pre-planning and pre-scrutiny applications had been made relating to the prosed move of the maturation pads; junction in Raywell; accidents at Comberdale Hill/Westoby Lane and liaison with ERYC requesting the junction is assessed . The new Combined Mayoral Campaign. Pothole Funding.
Councillor Gill reported:
Weekly bin collections (brown) garden & food waste, a new government directive is to have weekly collections. ERYC are to conform to it. A164 Jocks Lock development ahead of schedule, speed camera technology tested in Pocklington which collect data, speed, etc and produces information in electronic format. £750 funding from the PCC. (Councillor Gill will forward information)
66/25 HIGHWAYS
- Highway verge damage was discussed. Large Farming Vehicles have churned up verges on Rowley Road.
- Accident reported at Bentley (Bend near Chevrons) involving two cars.
67/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
- A review of grounds maintenance work was discussed and proposed. Works offered to handyman. Awaiting quotation.
68/25 MATTERS FOR INCLUSION ON THE NEXT AGENDA
- Speed watch (As Humberside Police Officer did not attend this evening).
