This would also be repeated in the next newsletter so that it covers a wider audience of families who may have grandchildren, or children at other schools in the East Riding.

Residents attended advising that funds are being raised in the village for the play equipment as they would like to see the zip wire replaced. They asked if the Funds raised would be ringfenced. RESOLVED – That any fundraising or donations received for the playing fields would be ringfenced.
Resident raised concern with the trees in the Woodland next to the Village Hall, stating that the chalk is slipping onto the footpath, and is very untidy. Trees need pollarding and assessing.
Residents concern regarding the railings along the footpath on Old Village Road. – The Clerk will raise issue with ERYC Highways team to check stability again.
South Cave Football (Children’s) – request to use the Football Pitch and Changing rooms one evening a week commencing 12th May until mid-way through summer period. RESOLVED – Council agreed.

The Giant Disc was lifted; however, the bearing is part of the welding of the full system. It was suggested that Mr Byass be contacted for a price to repair.
The Zip Wire/Cableway was discussed – Mr Byass to be contacted for a quotation, along with two other companies.
The lock at the changing rooms has been tampered with. Handyman has now repaired.
The clerk referenced a volunteer’s policy for those who are wanting to assist with the playing fields. A draft policy to be drawn up and circulated.

Renewables
Hornsea 4 update has decided not to progress with the development of the Hornsea 4 offshore wind farm in its current form. This was an incredibly tough decision and a disappointing outcome for the company and the teams that have worked so hard to develop Hornsea 4 to this point.
The reason for this is, Hornsea 4 in its current form is that the project has experienced several negative changes relating to increase of supply chain costs, an increase in the risk to construct and operate Hornsea 4 and higher interest rates. In combination, these changes have meaningfully deteriorated the business case where we are no longer comfortable with the level of value creation in the business case. – NOTED

PCSO Lynch attended the meeting and advised there had been no crimes reported for Little Weighton or the Parish. He had also attended the village with the pro laser (Speed Gun) outside the Primary School.
